The experience of a cryptocurrency brother, $2 million frozen for five months, OKX gives no explanation,

My OKX account was inexplicably risk-controlled on February 18, 2025, the account was frozen, unable to trade or withdraw funds, but the platform still allowed deposits. When I asked customer service for the reason, they only said, "System triggered automatically," the review period is estimated to be 60 working days, which means until May 13. Note: They have never promised to complete the review by this date, only said "estimated," which effectively reserves unlimited extension space.

Since the risk control, I have gone through the following processes:

Contacted customer service multiple times, the response is always a templated "Under review, please be patient," providing no review progress, no explanation for the review reasons, and no expedited options allowed.

From April 12 to 26, 2025, I provided detailed work proof, business income, transaction statements, and other materials as required. The cumbersome source of funds certification was also completed during this period, and I received a notice of "review passed," but the account still remained frozen, with no progress.

Today is July 5, far exceeding 60 working days (90 calendar days), customer service still uses "The review has not been completed, please continue to wait" as a stall, without saying how much longer the review will take, nor explaining why the account remains frozen after the source of funds certification has been completed.

This makes me start to question:

Is this "system risk control" just a vague excuse? Can they indefinitely freeze user funds? Does this behavior constitute an actual illegal occupation?

My assets are currently frozen on the OKX platform, amounting to over $2 million, this is not an isolated case; I have seen many users online encountering similar situations.

I am very cooperative with OKX's compliance process and willing to accept reasonable reviews, but that does not mean the user's time and funds can be indefinitely detained and ignored. If a platform cannot provide a clear mechanism, definite timeframe, and processing standards for "risk control," then may I ask, is this still a responsible exchange? $ETH
