After the bankruptcy of FTX, the FTX Recovery Trust, responsible for repayments, announced that it will temporarily not compensate users from 49 countries, including China, Russia, Nigeria, and others. The reason is that these countries have legal restrictions on cryptocurrency trading, or do not allow funds to be distributed through third-party agents.

Claims from these countries are marked as 'disputed claims' and will only be processed once legal issues are clarified. Especially in China, although the number of users accounts for only 5% of the total claims, the funds involved reach up to 82%, making Chinese users the most affected!
