The longer I trade, the clearer I understand: futures are not a magic button to "get rich", but a treacherous instrument that only works in skilled hands.
📌 Spot is simple. Buy, hold. No liquidations, sleep peacefully. But expect growth for months.
📌 Futures — this is where the nerve game begins. Leverage, liquidations, margin calls. Everything can burn in a second if there is no discipline.
But the potential is huge. You can take a movement of 2-3%, enter with leverage X5 and already have a result that on spot takes weeks to achieve.
🤝 Personally, I have come to a combined strategy:
— I hold the asset on spot,
— simultaneously I can hedge or play on pullbacks in futures.
This helps not to panic when the market crashes — because a short futures position gives a profit while spot goes down.
📉 But the key is risk management. Without stops, without understanding volumes and trends — futures will just bury the deposit.
Only sober calculation, without emotions. Otherwise — it’s better not to enter at all.
