Before joining Binance, Gillian served as the CEO of Gemini Europe, where she was responsible for the company's expansion and operational growth in the European market. During her tenure, she led the company in obtaining significant regulatory licenses, including registration as a virtual asset service provider (VASP) with the Central Bank of Ireland and obtaining electronic money institution (EMI) status.
Before transitioning to the digital asset space, Lynch held various senior management positions in the traditional financial sector, including over 15 years at Bank of Ireland, where she served in key roles such as Head of Retail Strategy and Planning in Ireland and Head of Information and Operations in the UK. She also held senior executive positions as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Banking-as-a-Service platform Leveris.
