Another day of learning📚

After discussing the big logic of stock coins for a few days, here are some study notes on the mechanisms of various stock coins👇

Currently, there are 3 mainstream methods

🟢 Mystonks: Buy real stocks yourself, self-custody, self-chain @MyStonksCN

▶️ Issue ERC-20 stock tokens, 1:1 backed by Fidelity custody of real stocks

▶️ Use PFOF (Payment for Order Flow) mechanism, market makers assist in buying and selling stocks, transactions affect real market prices

▶️ Trading time is quite restricted, can only trade in real-time during US stock trading hours, other times can only place orders

🟡 Robinhood: Buy real stocks yourself, self-locking, self-contract minting @RobinhoodApp

▶️ Token minting on Arbitrum, currently can only buy and sell within the Robinhood Europe App, cannot withdraw to the chain

▶️ Future plans to release more stock tokens using its own L2 network

▶️ Can only play within Robinhood's own stock pool, discrepancies with the real market

🔵 xStocks: Issuing stocks through a stablecoin model @xStocksFi

▶️ Minted on the Solana chain, controlled by the Swiss parent company Backed, stocks custodied at Deutsche Börse Clearstream, stocks bought through Interactive Brokers

▶️ Strong endorsements, investments from Coinbase, support from Kraken/Bybit/Jup

▶️ High degree of centralization, issuer has minting and redemption authority
