🔒 Transfer Alert: Sui and Aptos Address Incompatibility
According to PANews, cybersecurity expert Cosine from SlowMist has issued a critical warning about address incompatibility between Sui and Aptos blockchains.
⚠️ Key Risk:
Although Sui and Aptos addresses both start with '0x' and have 66 characters, they are not interchangeable. A private key that generates a Sui address cannot be used to generate an Aptos address — and vice versa.
🚫 What’s at Stake:
If a user mistakenly sends Aptos funds to a Sui address, the funds will be permanently lost. There is no way to recover them due to the difference in address derivation mechanisms.
