YZi Labs invests in Digital Asset, the company behind Canton Network
YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) has announced its investment in Digital Asset, the company behind the privacy-focused enterprise blockchain network, Canton Network. This investment is part of Digital Asset's Series E funding round of $135 million, with participation from major financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Citadel Securities.
This investment reaffirms YZi Labs' commitment to expanding Web3 infrastructure at the enterprise level. Ella Zhang, Director #YZILabs , emphasized the goal of "making tokenized real-world assets (RWA) a mainstream flow in global finance."
Canton Network is a layer-1 enterprise blockchain specifically designed for the trading and management of RWAs, with customizable on-chain privacy capabilities. By June 2025, #Canton has recorded a TVL in the trillions of USD, including more than $1.5 trillion in tokenized U.S. Treasury bond repurchases each month, attracting nearly 400 institutions.
Canton stands out as a solution that balances public blockchain (too transparent) and private blockchain (lacks cross-interaction), allowing the establishment of privacy configurations while preserving interoperability. The new funding will help Digital Asset accelerate the development of the Canton infrastructure, attract more financial institutions, and support the ability to combine with interoperability – crucial prerequisites for bringing billions of USD in real assets onto the blockchain.
