OpenAI alerts on the tokenization of its shares

On Monday, Robinhood made several announcements at the EthCC[8] in Cannes, one of which concerned tokenized shares. In addition to publicly traded stocks, the platform distinguished itself by promising access to private companies, such as OpenAI and SpaceX.

However, the news does not seem to please the developer of ChatGPT, who distanced itself from the initiative on Wednesday evening on its X profile:

“These ‘OpenAI tokens’ are not OpenAI shares. We are not partners with Robinhood, did not participate in it, and do not endorse it. Any transfer of OpenAI shares requires our approval; we have not approved any transfer. Please be cautious.”
