2009–2010

After the launch in 2009, the price of BTC was practically zero, on early exchanges it was hundredths of a dollar: $0.0008 in October 2009 and ~$0.003 in March 2010. 2011–2013: Growth and First Jumps

The price rose from $0.30 at the beginning of 2011 to $4–$32 over the year. In 2012-2013, BTC surpassed $1,000. 2014–2016: Correction and Stabilization

After falling to ~$300 in 2014, BTC traded in the range of $200–$500. By the end of 2016, the price crossed the $900 mark. 2017: Mania and Record

Starting around $1,000, BTC jumped to nearly $20,000 by December. 2018–2020: Decline and Bounce. After the “crypto-winter” beginning in 2018, the price fell to ~$3,200. It recovered by the end of 2020: ~$29,000. 2021–2022: Institutional Investments and Volatility

In 2021, BTC reached ~$64,800 before retreating to $30,000. Throughout 2022, the range was around ~$18,000–$48,000. 2023–2025: Rally to New Highs

Prices rose to ~$43,000 in 2023 and exceeded $100,000 by the end of 2024. In May 2025, a peak of ~$111,970 was recorded. The current level is around $109,000.
