Even with 10 Billion Pi in Circulation, Less Than 1 Million Will Work at GCV — Here's Why
As of today, I can confidently say this: even if there are 10 billion Pi coins in circulation, less than 1 million of those will actually function at GCV (Global Consensus Value). Why? Because most of the Pi coins out there have already been transferred to exchanges — and once that happens, the Purity Badge ✅ is permanently lost.
Let me remind you of what Dr. Nicolas once said:
> “Every Pi is scarce and valuable. And those Pioneers who persevere until the end will achieve great things in life!”
Dr. Chengdiao Fan also emphasized:
> “10 Pi is enough for a generation, and Pi is non-conformist!”
Pi mining is coming to an end. And once the Global Open Mainnet is officially launched, here’s what’s going to happen:
The gas fees for transactions on the Pi network will be significantly reduced.
Pi will finally get its own contract address on the Pi Blockchain Network.
Around 300 computer nodes will go live.
The Pi Browser will begin showing the real-time value of Pi through the Pi Blockchain Explorer.
In your Pi Browser Wallet, your Pi balance will show not just the total, but also its equivalent in dollars.
And here’s something you really need to understand:
There will be two types of balances in your Pi Browser wallet:
1. Contribution Balance
This is the Pi you mined and never transferred to any exchange. It still holds the Purity Badge ✅ and can be used at GCV.
2. Non-Contribution Balance
This is Pi that was transferred to an exchange at any point. Even if it’s transferred back, the Purity Badge ✅ is gone forever. This balance cannot be used at GCV.
Let me make one thing clear — there's no way to cheat or bypass this system.
If you want to hold Pi with a valid Purity Badge ✅, you must:
Create a Pi account
Mine for at least 30 days
Complete your KYC verification
Be part of the migration queue
Once you're migrated, the Pi Core Team will move your coins to your Pi Browser wallet — and those coins will come with the Purity Badge ✅. But again, if you ever send them to an exchange, they lose the badge. Forever.

What is Pi Network?
Pi Network is a blockchain-based digital currency platform developed by Stanford PhDs — including Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis. It’s designed to make cryp
to accessible to everyday people through mobile mining and real-world utility.
