Hello, Binance community!
I want to share a recent experience I had and issue a warning 🚨⚠️
A few days ago, I was browsing YouTube and came across some videos that promised a "bug" in exchange rates on a DEX (it seemed to be linked to Binance, which caught my attention). The promise was simple and tempting: you would send a smaller amount of cryptocurrencies and, because of this "bug", receive a much larger amount in return.
🧐 My initial observation and what I discovered:
👉The "bug" is a scam! Out of curiosity, I started to investigate further. I noticed that the link shared in the videos led to a site that, at first glance, seemed legitimate, but Chrome immediately warned me that it was a "Dangerous site" (dex.binance.com.fast-btc.trade - stay ALERT for these addresses!). It's a fake site created by scammers. If I had tried to "convert" my funds there, my cryptos would have gone directly to their wallet, with no return at all. It's a classic tactic to steal our money.
👉 Multiple channels with the SAME video and FAKE comments: The strangest thing is that the same video appeared on several different channels on YouTube, all with few subscribers. And what caught my attention even more were the comments! They were always the same, like "Successful exchange!" or "I managed to turn 20k into almost 200k!". I realized right away: these comments are orchestrated by the scammers themselves, probably using fake accounts or bots, to give the impression that the scam works and convince more people to click the link. They do this across various channels to increase the chances of someone finding one of the videos.
👉The videos disappear quickly: I tried to find the original video I saw a few days ago to show here, but it simply vanished! This reinforces my suspicion: YouTube is acting and removing these videos. But unfortunately, the scammers are quick and create new channels to upload the same content.
