Iran’s largest crypto exchange, Nobitex, was hacked, and over $100 million in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and other assets were stolen.
The hackers, believed to be the group Predatory Sparrow, forced Iran to trigger its worst internet blackout since 2019 to control the situation.
This is another clear sign that crypto is becoming a serious weapon in cyber warfare. As crypto grows, so do the risks.
