WCT or Waves Community Token is a token launched on the Waves network aimed at supporting and funding community projects within the Waves ecosystem. It was initially distributed to WAVES holders as a reward, and its purpose was to give the community a role in voting and funding innovative projects. During its active periods, WCT was used as an evaluation tool for new projects and a means to encourage community participation. As the Waves network evolved and new tools and tokens emerged, the importance of WCT gradually decreased. However, it is still considered a part of Waves' history and an example of an attempt to integrate community governance into blockchain platforms. Its value today is low compared to its peak.
