US President Donald Trump has urged Israel not to “drop bombs” after ordering “powerful strikes” on Iran. Trump used a slur as he lashed out at Israel and Iran. Both sides have previously accused each other of violating a ceasefire. He later said the “ceasefire is in effect.” Hours after the ceasefire went into effect, Israel said it had intercepted a missile fired by Iran. Iran denied carrying out fresh strikes and warned that “any further aggression will be met with a decisive, strong and timely response.”
