#MarketRebound Meta, in collaboration with Oakley, has released new smart glasses with artificial intelligence. They are aimed at athletes and have enhanced video recording capabilities. The gadget allows users to make and receive calls, listen to music, take photos, record videos in 3K resolution, and receive answers about the surrounding environment using artificial intelligence.

The glasses cost $399 for the basic version and $499 for the limited edition with gold accents. Pre-orders will open on July 11 in the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

In September 2024, Meta introduced an update for the Ray-Ban smart glasses — real-time video processing using artificial intelligence. This allows users to ask the glasses questions about what they see. Reminder functions, translation capabilities, and integration with music applications have also been added.

"We are increasingly seeing examples of Ray-Ban usage: people wear them on roller coasters, ride bikes, and are in the water, so we try to cater to that," commented Meta's Vice President of Wearable Devices, Alex Himel.
