Dear users!

We want to bring to your attention information about a new malicious software called SparkKitty, which has been active since the beginning of 2024. According to Kaspersky, SparkKitty specializes in stealing screenshots that contain seed phrases for cryptocurrency wallets.

What does this mean for you?

If you store your seed phrases as screenshots on your computer or mobile device, you are at risk. SparkKitty is designed to search for and steal these images, giving attackers access to your crypto assets.

Our security recommendations:

In light of threats like SparkKitty, we strongly recommend taking the following measures to protect your funds:

Avoid storing seed phrases in digital form: Never take screenshots of your seed phrases and do not store them on devices connected to the internet.

Use hardware wallets: Hardware wallets (cold wallets) provide the highest level of security, as your private keys are stored offline.

Write down seed phrases by hand.
