$BNB Méliuz purchases R$ 157 million in Bitcoin and nearly doubles its position; stock accumulates a 100% increase

With this move, Méliuz claims to have become the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin in Latin America and the 36th in the global ranking among listed companies.

Méliuz (CASH3) announced this Monday (23) the acquisition of Bitcoin (BTC), at a total cost of approximately US$ 28.61 million (about R$ 157 million). With this operation, the company adds 275.43 BTC to its stock, practically doubling the total of crypto assets to 595.67 units, accumulated at an average price of US$ 102,702.84 per BTC. In total, the company's Bitcoin cash is worth approximately R$ 331 million at today’s prices.

The new purchase was made after the completion of a subsequent stock offering that raised R$ 180.08 million earlier this month. According to the statement, the allocation follows the company's strategy to act as a Bitcoin Treasury Company, a model in which the progressive accumulation of Bitcoin becomes the central focus of the treasury policy.
