In the hustle of life, many overlook the laws of God that run in creation, and the signs that are repeated in the horizons and within souls, for those who wish to understand and contemplate. The intellect is a blessing, not to be consumed in argumentation, but to be invested in reflection, and to see with the eye of insight into the conditions of those who preceded us. How many nations were given countless reasons for strength and empowerment: wealth, armies, and equipment, but instead of being grateful and realizing that blessings are a trust, they squandered and oppressed, and altered the nature of God upon which people were created. Thus, His laws turned against them, and hardship came to them from where they least expected, until they became a memory, a proverbial example, and a lesson for those who have a heart or lend an ear while being present.
The fortunate one is the one who learns from others, and who makes history a mirror through which they see their fate, not the one who gets lost in the pride of the present and neglects the consequences of tomorrow. Indeed, in all of this are signs for those of understanding.
