Press Release Regarding Central Bank of Syria Circular No. 1831 Dated 07/05/2025
As part of the supervisory role assigned to the Central Bank of Syria and in order to provide greater flexibility for clients in using their bank accounts, the Central Bank of Syria issued Circular No. 1831 dated 07/05/2025, which obligated banks to enable all clients with cash-funded current accounts and time deposit accounts in all deposited currencies to withdraw from these accounts at their discretion at any time and without a specified limit,
In case of any complaints regarding the banks' non-compliance with the instructions mentioned in the circular, citizens are kindly requested to submit an official complaint to the Central Bank of Syria's office for prompt processing.
