Brent oil prices fell amid a two-week 'pause' by the US regarding Iran

Brent oil prices on June 20 decreased by nearly $2, after the White House delayed a decision on US involvement in the Israeli-Iranian conflict, but they are still set to remain in positive territory for the third consecutive week.

As Reuters reports, Brent crude futures fell by $1.89 to $76.96 per barrel. Over the week, they rose by 3.8%.

The price of American oil West Texas Intermediate for July delivery, which did not close on Thursday due to a holiday in the US and whose expiration ends on Friday, increased by 53 cents to $75.67. The more liquid WTI oil for August delivery rose by 17 cents to $73.67.

On Thursday, prices rose by nearly 3% as Israel bombed nuclear targets in Iran, and Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel after attacking an Israeli hospital overnight. #
