#PowellRemarks The Federal Reserve of the U.S. kept interest rates unchanged at 4.5%, in line with consensus estimates.

Earlier today, Donald Trump criticized the Federal Reserve and its chairman Jerome Powell, stating:

- The U.S. would pay significantly less for its national debt if the Federal Reserve cut rates.

- It is unlikely that Powell will lower rates today and "is not doing a good job".

- The Fed should cut rates by between 2% and 2.5%.
