The lesson I learned after my adventure with #GMT .

It started with the observation of the growth of a new coin (March 2022). I don't remember the initial price, probably a few cents. The price began to drop, even to $0.10 or $0.11. Over time, it rose slightly, and for several days I didn't check, only to soon discover that the price had skyrocketed to several dozen cents. I was afraid it would drop again, so I waited for moments of large fluctuations and traded - buy, sell, buy, sell, and so on, an endless number of operations. Purchase for $500, setting a selling price, and in the meantime another 500$ for purchase in case the price dropped. It was a turbulent time. The dynamics were immense, always in tension.

Full concentration and trading part of the resources meant that I wasn't seeing the results, just watching the fluctuations.

When at one point I saw that I had $6000, I couldn't believe it for a long time.

It emboldened me to trade a larger amount until I reached about $12000.

The price exceeded $4.

Since I was relatively new to this world, I thought that now I would calmly wait for the price to gradually rise while I take a break, because the effort of constantly monitoring market movements and transactions was really exhausting.

At that time, I had no idea how important it is to exit at the right moment.

And then it began. The price started to drop just as sharply as it had previously risen. In disbelief, I watched my account balance shrink.

At one point, I began to trade desperately to get back to $12000. Later, I wanted to maintain at least $10000.

It was a turbulent struggle, full of hysterical decisions.

It ended up around $100.

The lessons I learned:

1. Don’t wait indefinitely to exit (even if I had stopped at $6000, I would have had more than I ultimately did).

2. Be cautious of novelties that rise quickly, because while the euphoria may last a month or two, then a bitter disappointment may come that fully consumes the earlier joy.
