Many people double their accounts but do not cash out. As a result, when the market reverses, they can't even preserve their principal. I used to be the same until I experienced a significant loss and understood: Only the money that is cashed out is real profit.

Why cash out? There are three reasons:

1. Profit not realized = paper wealth

Having 1 million in your account is not as solid as having 100,000 in your bank account; only withdrawal counts as real earnings.

2. Lock in periodic results, reduce withdrawal anxiety

Every withdrawal is an acknowledgment of your strategy and a reward for past trading phases.

3. More stable psychologically

After cashing out, even if the account fluctuates, it won't have too much impact. On the contrary, if all profits are left in the account and the mindset fluctuates, it is easy to make wrong decisions.

Cashing out also has a rhythm, you can refer to my rhythm:

1. When the account profit exceeds 50%, first withdraw the original principal

For example: if you grow from 10,000 to 15,000, withdraw 5,000 first, and the future account gains and losses belong to "market money."

2. After each major market event, consistently withdraw 10%-30% of the profit

For instance, if this wave of long positions in SOL earns 20,000, immediately cash out 6,000 to prevent profits from running away.

3. Periodic cash out

Regardless of profit or loss, withdraw regularly once a month, treating trading as a "job" rather than pure investment.

Suggested cash out methods:

1. Use official channels, such as Binance's P2P trading or bank withdrawals, to avoid third-party OTC risks.

2. The cash out amount should not be too large or too frequent; distribute it reasonably while paying attention to compliance and risk control.

3. Cash out to your real-name wallet or account, keep records for easier future management.

In summary, it can be boiled down to one phrase: cash out for safety.
