CIO Bitwise: investors are fleeing from fiat to bitcoin.
Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated that private investors are losing trust in fiat currencies and are increasingly turning to bitcoin as a safe-haven asset.
According to him, since the abandonment of the gold standard in 1971, fiat has been losing its status as a reliable store of value. Now, digital assets, especially BTC, are becoming a new form of 'digital gold'.
Hougan also noted that inflows into bitcoin ETFs have already surpassed inflows into gold funds, further reinforcing this trend.
