Powell keeping interest rates unchanged is a good thing or a bad thing for the market???
You have to realise that when interest rates are lowered, people can take out loans and invest in cryptos and other things, but when interest rates are between 4.25% and 4.5%, we can expect people to remain on their guard for the time being, and what's more, with tensions in the Middle East, which could also affect the economy, people will not be taking the risk of taking out loans.
But we should even expect a fall if tensions in the Middle East do not abate and the major powers intervene - many will want to be safe and will take refuge in gold.
Lack of liquidity because interest rates are high and if liquidity is withdrawn in the event of force majeure, the market will only fall.
This is my analysis and my humble opinion, not investment advice.
What do you think of Jerome Powell's decision?
