After having dal and rice from a street vendor, I asked, "Brother!! Where do the buses to Lahore stand?" He pointed ahead and said, "Near that hotel over there." When I hurriedly reached there, there was a huge crowd of people drinking tea at the hotel. We thought that there must be something special about the tea, so we ordered some. The tea was indeed very delicious. When we were about to pay the tea bill, I remembered that I hadn't paid the rice vendor. I ran back to the rice vendor and told him, "Brother, maybe you forgot, I had rice from you but didn't pay you?" The rice vendor smiled and said, "Brother, how could someone whose children's livelihood depends on these rice forget to ask for money?" "Then why didn't you ask for money?" I asked in surprise. He replied, "Brother, I didn't ask thinking that you are a traveler, maybe you don't have money. If I had asked, you might have felt embarrassed."
