A seasoned expert at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) breaks his silence on the Ripple case amid new developments. In a new development in the Ripple and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) lawsuit, both parties have requested the Second Circuit Court to temporarily suspend the appeals pending a request for a guiding decision. The SEC is now expected to provide a status update by August 15, 2025. Last week, Ripple and the SEC renewed their request for a guiding decision after Judge Torres denied the request in May. As the August deadline approaches for the next update request from the SEC, the XRP community is filled with anticipation. Speculation is growing about whether Judge Torres will amend any part of her ruling and what the outcome of the guiding decision request will be. Card. One XRP supporter on X said: "I would be puzzled if they rejected the re-submission. Do you think we should tell people that if things go badly and one or both continue their appeals, the case will be returned to Torres?"
