Brother Y was scammed today for fifty thousand dollars after his account was hacked. The total amount scammed from others likely adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. I was previously hacked along with the Prophet Emperor, and I can clearly tell everyone that the hacker is most likely an insider from Tencent, not because of two frequently contacted WeChat friends passing verification. Let me share my evidence: after my account was hacked, I immediately reported it to the police and contacted WeChat customer service. They told me that no one had logged into my account, and the last device that logged into WeChat was my phone.
I specifically asked WeChat customer service how the hacker accessed my account, and they told me that only I could log in, meaning there is an insider at Tencent who accessed our accounts and deleted the records, so neither WeChat customer service nor the police can investigate.
Previously, many people who couldn't stand working at Tencent turned to trading cryptocurrencies, targeting the crypto space. It’s possible that they are sharing the hacked accounts with their old colleagues. They are very smart and focus on hacking contract traders. Both Brother Y and I are contract traders, and we often transfer hundreds of thousands of U to friends, so our friends' vigilance decreases, making them easy targets for scams.
