At 2:00 AM Beijing time on Thursday, the global financial markets will迎来 a significant moment from the Federal Reserve, which will announce its interest rate decision and the latest Summary of Economic Projections (SEP). Following this, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell will hold a press conference at 2:30.

The market generally expects the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) to keep interest rates unchanged at 4.25%-4.5%. The latest survey by Reuters shows that out of 105 economists surveyed, 103 expect rates to remain unchanged, while 2 anticipate a 25 basis point cut.

In the same survey, 59 out of 105 economists predict that the Federal Reserve will resume rate cuts next quarter (possibly in September), while 60% of economists expect two rate cuts this year, with an anticipated easing of 50 basis points before the end of the year.

Given the ongoing uncertainty regarding the economic impact of Trump's tariff policies, the Federal Reserve may continue to adopt a wait-and-see approach.
