#GENIUSActPass WASHINGTON — After weeks of stops and restarts, Senate Republicans teamed up on Tuesday with a bloc of Democrats to pass a historic cryptocurrency bill that would establish the first regulatory framework for stablecoin issuers.

The vote on the GENIUS Act resulted in 68 votes in favor and 30 against, with 18 Democrats joining the majority of Republicans. Only two Republicans – Rand Paul of Kentucky and Josh Hawley of Missouri – voted against.
