Protect your Binance account - activate the anti-phishing code! 🔐
Many users see this warning and wonder what to do. Here’s what it means and why you should take action:
What is the anti-phishing code?
It’s a personal code you set in your Binance account. Once activated, every official email from Binance will include this code, helping you verify that the message is from Binance and not a scam.
The importance of this:
Phishing attacks are common, as scammers may send fake text messages or emails impersonating Binance. If the anti-phishing code is not activated for you, it will be easier to fall victim to these scams.
Example:
Let’s say you set your code as follows: MyCode123.
Now, any real email from Binance will include "MyCode123" in the subject line.
If the code is missing, 🚫 do not trust it. ✅ What you need to do now:
1. Open the Binance app.
2. Go to [Security Settings] ← [Anti-Phishing Code].
3. Set a custom code that only you recognize.
4. Done!
Important:
Never trust text messages or phone calls claiming to be from Binance.
Always use the official Binance app or website for support.
Stay safe! 🛡️
