Bitcoin miners' income from fees has fallen below 1%.
In June, the share of fees in miners' income was only 0.96% of the block reward, the lowest level since January 2022. Over the last day, the figure dropped even lower to 0.65%.
With the current reward of 3.125 BTC per block, miners receive less than 0.03 BTC or about $3,000 from one block due to fees.
The cause has been a decrease in network activity. The transaction volume has returned to levels seen in October 2023, and the income per hash power has fallen to $52 per PH/s, which is 50 percent less than before the halving.
