#FOMCMeeting Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) is the Federal Open Market Committee, a body of the Federal Reserve (Fed), the central bank of the United States. It is responsible for setting the country's monetary policy, primarily through the determination of the basic interest rate. Its role is similar to that of the Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) in Brazil.
