Vietnam Approves Law Recognizing Cryptocurrencies

On June 14, 2025, the National Assembly of Vietnam approved the Digital Technology Industry Law, a milestone in the adoption of cryptocurrencies that will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

This legislation recognizes digital assets, classifying them into virtual assets and cryptocurrencies, excluding securities and digital fiat currencies.
