#MetaplanetBTCPurchase The Japanese investment company Metaplanet has made the largest Bitcoin purchase in history, acquiring nearly 620 Bitcoin while the cryptocurrency trades below $100.00. On December 23, Metaplanet announced that it had purchased 619.7 Bitcoin valued at just under $60 million, when Bitcoin was trading at around $96,900. This is the largest individual purchase made by the company since it started buying Bitcoin in bulk and almost quadruples the value of its previous record purchase of 159.7 BTC on October 28, according to data from Bitbo.
