#VietnamCryptoPolicy The National Assembly of Vietnam approved the Law on Digital Technology Industry, officially recognizing and regulating digital assets for the first time.
Starting from January 1, 2026, the law separately classifies "virtual assets" and "crypto assets," excluding securities and CBDCs, and grants the government the authority to issue detailed regulations. It also emphasizes compliance with regulations on cybersecurity, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorism financing (CFT).
