In June 2025, the company announced that it had acquired an additional 1,112 BTC for approximately 117 million dollars, bringing its total to 10,000 BTC. This acquisition propelled Metaplanet ahead of Coinbase, making it the ninth largest publicly traded holder of Bitcoin.
