#VietnamCryptoPolicy
Vietnam has taken a monumental step in cryptocurrency regulation, passing a landmark "Law on Digital Technology Industry" on June 14, 2025. This legislation, effective January 1, 2026, officially legalizes and classifies digital assets, including virtual and crypto assets, providing much-needed regulatory clarity.
This policy shift aims to foster innovation, attract investment, and enhance consumer protection while aligning with international anti-money laundering standards. It signifies Vietnam's ambition to become a leading digital hub in Southeast Asia, moving from a previous "grey zone" to a clear, regulated framework for the rapidly growing crypto sector.
