Metaplanet, the largest Bitcoin accumulator in Asia, has reached a key milestone following its latest acquisition.
On Monday, Metaplanet's CEO, Simon Gerovich, reported that the company had purchased 1,112 BTC for approximately $117.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 10,000 BTC, currently valued at just over $1 billion.
The latest bitcoins were added to the corporate treasury at a price of approximately $105,435 per coin, he noted, while the total expenditure for the entire stash is approximately $947 million, with an average price per Bitcoin of $94,697.
