The cryptocurrency policy in Vietnam has undergone significant evolution, especially with the recent news from June 2025.

Basically, the policy can be summarized as follows:

* Legalization and Recognition: Vietnam took an important step by officially legalizing crypto assets through the approval of a Law on Digital Technology Industry by the National Assembly on June 14, 2025. This law will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
