#VietnamCryptoPolicy Vietnam officially recognizes digital assets.

The National Assembly of Vietnam has adopted the Law on the Digital Technology Industry — the country officially recognizes cryptocurrency assets from January 1, 2026.

- A "pilot resolution" (sandbox) is being developed, which will allow testing the activities of digital asset exchanges and VASPs.

- AML and cybersecurity rules are being introduced in accordance with international standards (FATF).

- The government will develop separate regulations for oversight and supervision.

- Legal definitions of digital assets are being introduced in accordance with international standards (USA) as blockchain products that are owned under civil law.
