#VietnamCryptoPolicy Vietnam's crypto policy is based on the new Law on the Digital Technology Industry, approved in June 2025 and coming into effect on January 1, 2026. This law legalizes and regulates crypto assets, classifying them into two categories: virtual assets and crypto assets, excluding digital fiat currencies, securities, or other financial instruments. The legislation establishes regulatory oversight, cybersecurity measures, and anti-money laundering provisions aligned with international standards, with the goal of having Vietnam exit the "grey list" of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
