Recent Major Acquisition

On June 15, 2025, Metaplanet, a Tokyo-based investment firm, announced the purchase of 1,112 Bitcoin (BTC) for $117.2 million at an average price of $105,435 per BTC. This acquisition brought Metaplanet’s total Bitcoin holdings to 10,000 BTC, surpassing Coinbase Global’s corporate treasury and making Metaplanet the largest public Bitcoin holder in Asia and one of the top ten globally. The average price of Metaplanet’s 10,000 BTC is approximately $96,400 per Bitcoin.
