There is a ridiculous rumor circulating online that Elon Musk, the big boss of Tesla and SpaceX, plans to spend $50 billion to buy the XRP cryptocurrency from Ripple, offering a shocking price — over $600 per coin! This price is far too high compared to the current market price of XRP.
This false news spread quickly, making some XRP holders and crypto traders very excited. However, I want to make it clear that this is pure nonsense with no reliable evidence to support it! After searching, there is absolutely no official confirmation from Musk himself or his company regarding this matter, not even a screenshot.
The source of the rumor seems to be a post by a social media account called 'CryptoGeek,' claiming that Musk has fallen out of love with Dogecoin and is now into XRP. The post became popular solely because everyone shared and circulated it online, with absolutely no real evidence to back the claims.
Looking at it logically, it just doesn’t make sense. Musk is famously fond of Dogecoin and has publicly supported it many times; would he suddenly spend a huge sum to buy XRP? It’s too illogical! Furthermore, Ripple, the company behind XRP, hasn't said a word or acknowledged such a thing.
If you look at the current price of XRP, it’s hovering around $2, with no major fluctuations. If there were really a shocking $50 billion acquisition happening, the price would surely skyrocket. The current stable price just shows that most people don’t believe the rumor and are thinking clearly!
