CardanoDebate: Cardano – Technological breakthrough or unfulfilled promise?

Cardano is one of the prominent blockchains built on a foundation of academic research and the Ouroboros consensus algorithm. With the goal of providing sustainability, scalability, and high security, Cardano was once seen as the "Ethereum killer." However, after many years of development, there are still many controversies surrounding the practical effectiveness of this project.

Supporters argue that Cardano excels due to its scientific foundation, careful technical updates (such as the hard fork combinator), and low transaction fees. Additionally, the ecosystem is gradually developing with DApps, NFTs, and effective staking programs.

Conversely, critics argue that Cardano is developing too slowly, lacks standout applications, and has yet to demonstrate real benefits at a large scale. Competing with Ethereum, Solana, and new Layer 2 solutions further complicates the race.
