Cardano (ADA) was once hailed as the "Ethereum killer" thanks to its pioneering proof-of-stake (PoS) model and academic development philosophy. However, the community is sharply divided as the development speed of dApps is too slow, and the number of transactions and TVL are continuously surpassed by Solana, Base, and Arbitrum.

One side argues that Cardano still has a solid technological foundation, and the Plutus smart contracts will shine when the ecosystem matures. The other side points out that Charles Hoskinson is leaning too much on media, while in reality, users are not enthusiastic about ADA, and there is a lack of appealing DeFi applications.
