How Could You Turn $100 to $5 Billion? Well This Man Tells You How!!!
Many of you may recognize This Man, for those who lived under a rock, People call him with his very own name "Jim Simons" And He is a PhD in math. This is of course not the thing worthy of this post. He made a Hedge fund (If you know what is it you know) Named Medallion Fund and this fund consistently through out 66% annual return since 1988.
What this means? Well let's calculate!
Let's say you born in 1990 and for celebrating his achievement your dad put 100 dollars in his fund (assuming you are his 10th kid, so it's quite the achievement for him) and forget about it,
if you had any background in accounting you may heard of compounding or discounting effect of money, by using this formula
F.V = P.V x (1+r)^n
where
F.V is future value
P.V is present value (your 100 dollars)
r is rate (Medallion throws out 66%)
n is years ( let's say you are 35, so it is 35)
By applying this formula it throws out
100 x (1 + 66%)^35 = 5055720791
or $5.05 Billion!!!! (assuming you didn't take out any dime in 35 years)
But - What if you bought $100 worth of $BTC in 2010 at 0.06 and held and then sold at $110000 you would have:
(110000/0.06) x $100 = 183333333 or $183 million
So this man literally yeild more then $BTC itself. Drop the age in comment if you have investment in Medallion Fund howuch you have now (you have the formula above)
Follow up I have Many interesting Case studies for you in trading!!!
