An ingenious illegal cryptocurrency mining operation has been dismantled in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia! Authorities discovered a complete mining farm hidden inside a Kamaz truck, which was diverting electricity from a 10-kilovolt line.

The sophisticated setup, equipped with 95 high-power mining devices and a mobile substation, was detected by the Buryat Energy Company while tracking irregularities in electricity consumption. Although two individuals managed to escape in an SUV, this incident marks the sixth case of electricity theft related to cryptocurrency mining in the region just in 2025.
