Shitoki Kusama announced, head of $SHIB
, and his developer assistant Kal Dehiriya, and marketing officer Lucy, about the launch of the Shiba Alpha layer, announcing that $SHIB has far surpassed the meme coin status. Lucy described it in a tweet as "the infrastructure for the next Web3 wave."
The Shiba Alpha layer has been officially released in beta so far.

According to a post by Lucy on the Binance.Square platform, the Shiba Alpha layer is a standard modular abstraction package created by the $SHIB team in collaboration with ElderLabs and linked to Shibarium. This layer provides optional FHE privacy, a seamless user experience for all RollApps, and an option to pay gas fees not only with BONE but also with SHIB and other tokens, in addition to stablecoins (USDT, USDC, etc.).
Interoperability and instant linking will soon be added to this new layer. "No venture capital funding. No empty promises. Just programming," the post claims.
Shiba Alpha will turn Shibarium into a third-level settlement layer, with it "gaining every Roll application shared security and true symbolic utility for Shiba."

Saitoshi Kusama, the lead developer, who broke a two-week silence on social media, drew the community's attention to the post made by Kal Dehiriya, the senior developer of Shiba, regarding the Shiba Alpha layer. The latter stated that after this launch, Shiba Inu will no longer just be a meme coin, as "the era of memes ends here."
As for Kusama, he has promised again to publish a "white paper focused on artificial intelligence" soon, sharing his opinion on artificial intelligence and SHIB's strategy related to it.
