#IsraelIranConflict The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that Israel "will undoubtedly face a painful fate" following the attack carried out against the Persian nation this Friday.

"The regime must expect a severe punishment. The powerful hand of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will not let it escape, with God's permission," he stated. "With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter and painful destiny, which it will undoubtedly receive," he added.

He also confirmed the death of several military personnel and scientists and noted that their successors will assume their responsibilities immediately.

Previously, Iranian state media confirmed the death of the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, as well as two prominent scientists: Fereydoun Abbasi, former director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, president of Azad Islamic University.
